Kathleen Hanna's Dress Says it All

Le Tigre played a sold out Halloween show last night at Irving Plaza. Even though they signed to a major label, it was great to see that they are still really fucking cool. Kathleen took the stage dressed as Orphan Annie. She looked hot as hell in a huge red afro. Adrock was there sans costume. So was Joan Jett. The crowd couldn't get enough and it was great to see that, despite mixed reviews for the new record, the band can still actually get hipsters to dance. They closed with a cover from Footloose wearing matching anti-Bush dresses. Great show and no one is cooler than Kathleen Hanna.

hey i realize that a couple of you fucks are morons, but the dumbest thing you did... was call le tigre un-talented and un-origonal. wow. and you're comparing REAL music to reality tv?
and "brad pitt"- you do realize that if you tried to hit on kathleen hanna she'd probably laugh her head off while removing your legs. haha... you know, so she could throw them at your buddies : )

Dog shit? This is a great band. Their debut record was an instant classic.

EM, i agree, they're disposable and not original or very talented. (bikini kill was even worse.) but the people i know who like them tend to dig that very aspect of them - they're a dancey product, to be enjoyed like reality tv or britney spears for the hipster set. their very disposability makes them attractive. also, some like their politics.

It's hilarious how hipsters pride themselves on their artistic taste while championing dog shit like Le Tigre. Kathleen Hanna can go take a shit.

She's also wearing this dress (with matching outfits from the rest of the band) on the current cover of Venus.

"Even though they signed to a major label, it was great to see that they are still really fucking cool."
so let's see: Bob Dylan, not cool. John Coltrane, not cool. Rolling Stones, not cool. John Lennon, not cool. Patti Smith, not cool. Lou Reed, not cool. David Bowie, not cool. Beck, not cool. Miles Davis, not cool. A Tribe Called Quest, not cool. Stevie Wonder, not cool. Ashlee Simpson, not cool (just checking to see if you're still with me here). blah blah, etc. etc. knee jerk intolerance, my friend, pas joli.

I thought their show was amazing. Crowd was really into it. I think the b.o. was me. Maybe that's why Kathleen didn't single me out from the crowd to have sex with. Oh my god she's cute

I was the ho nurse in the thigh high white boots. That show was incredible, though Gravy Train should've played 'You made me gay' and Le Tigre's 'My my metrocard' would've been nice to hear as well. Though as much as I love all humans, and don't mind getting danced and sweated on by fun hot girls and boys, deodorant is really a wonderful thing, hipster, gay, or not.
