"What's Her Game?"

We personally think Hillary's reasons for refusing to concede are monetary in nature. She wants the Obama campaign to give her money to pay off her supposed debts. [Even after lending her campaign $5 mil, the Clintons are still loaded]. Still, The Guardian makes a compelling argument about her intentions.
Once again, it's all about Hillary Clinton, who delivered the most abrasive, self-absorbed, selfish, delusional, emasculating and extortionate political speech I've heard in a long time. And I've left out some adjectives, just to be polite.... What's her game? It's this, I think. It's not merely to be vice president. Although apparently it is that. I take it she and Bill have decided that being Obama's vice-president for eight years is the most plausible path to the presidency. But she did not on Tuesday night merely try to make a case for herself as a good vice-presidential candidate. She held a rhetorical knife to Obama's throat and said, in not so many words: I'm still calling some shots, buddy. You offer me the vice-presidency, or I walk away. But she has also forced Obama into a situation whereby if he chooses her now, he looks weak. So that's the choice she is hoping to impose on the nominee: don't choose me, and Bill and I will subtly work to see that you lose; choose me, and look like a weakling who can't lead the party without the Clintons after all. Now that's putting the interests of the party first, isn't it?

She looks like an old cake wrapped in a napkin on this photo.

Of course there are hundreds of vested interests in every way, but that doesn't make everything a grand evil conspiracy. I think if you spent more time examining the complexity of the media/political/lobbying culture you might see that the problems are more systemic and less an issue of strongly willed individuals. In fact, there's a great deal of media sources reflecting upon and identifying those problems in the wake of these revelations about the build up to the Iraq war. The soulsearching is starting to happen, even if slowly. Or we could go your way and politics is just a comic book filled with evil geniuses and no heroes.

Another paranoid thought:
CNN, ABC, and CBS have all been running stories that tell us "Dems want a Obama - Clinton ticket". Based on every person I speak with, this is the opposite of what is really going on. EVERYONE tells me this is a very bad idea that would undermine the legitimacy of an Obama presidency, not to mention Bill acting the boss because he was the boss.
It seems obvious what is going on here. Media pressure to get Clinton positioned to support policy based on big business, or at best simply special interests. My guess is it's the corporate powers fearing Obama.

This is pretty paranoid and ridiculous, I have supported Obama from the beginning, but its not so simple as Obama good, Hillary Bad. It's time to be gracious and hopeful, not afraid and angry.

Isn't it about time you stop the incessant Hillary bashing? I used to read this site regularly, but in the last few months I have been really turned off. Maybe you could focus less on ugly rants and more on "free" events in Williamsburg. Just a thought from one of your readers.
That said, I will of course vote for Obama in November.

That pretty much sums up the motive. Not much else really makes sense. Screw her!
She has been delusional in her bid since February. She NEVER had a chance since then, yet she lived in some fairy tale world that had no basis in reality.
She has reverted to her Republican roots, I'm afraid. The faction of the Democratic party that supports her is the big monied right leaning boomer crybabies. They are what we need to change! They are essentially "Republican Lite", whereas Obama is a revolution in politics. He will lead and motivate and make this country rightly proud.
Congrats Obama!
Go Away now Hillary. You are still an embarrassment.
