After Simon & Garfunkle broke up, Paul became the breakout star, while Art faded into obscurity. Obscurity does have it's benefits though, like tons of free time. Enough time to read a library's worth of books while cataloging each one and when it was read finally answering the question that plagues every person throughout life, "What was Art Garfunkle reading when I was born?" Thanks for the tease, jerks. After plowing through some 5 books and 1000 pages during the preceding month, Art apparently took a reading vacation for all of October 1979. I feel so insignificant.

he came into my store once, and he used a credit card to purchase some chocolates, and i had to ask him for his ID and i didn't recognize him because...i was busy being at work and didn't really have time to stop and think about who this customer was. and he stared at me like "are you serious? i'm fucking mr. parsley sage rosemary and time, bitch". kind of an asshole.
