Unfortunately, it looks like the Glos won't be making it to Bikes in the Kitchen, as one of their members has messed up their hand. Should be all better in time to kick off their tour with Titus Andronicus at Monster Island next Wednesday (9/2). Along for the ride will be Chicago's recent high school grads The Smith Westerns, who just came off tour with Girls-- keep a lookout for a pretty stellar release from these guys on September 22nd.

Surfer Blood are on tour from West Palm Beach, FL. Brian Wilson vibes galore! I'm throwing together this late show at Fire Proof for them on very short notice. The Nymphets are from Montreal but have relocated to Brooklyn for a stint. They play minute-and-a-half (perfect) punk songs. This is a great nightcap to the Bikes in the Kitchen festival happening all day off Myrtle-Broadway.
