Goodbye, Lorimer St. MTA Station Agent

Guys. I entered my subway stop at Lorimer and Metropolitan today only to discover that our longtime guide, overseer, and friend, is gone. A victim of the draconian MTA cuts, our station agent is gone and he's never coming back and nobody cares that he's really, really, really gone!*
Friends, let us share in remembering the only man in this city who truly loved us, mr. lorimer street station agent. And for those who miss mr. graham street station agent, your thoughts, memories, and asinine insults are welcome in the comments too. I'll start.
Friend, one time I remember you were standing there in that MTA jacket you loved so much, and you gave me a free bus pass because the subway was down. And with that pass, you practically walked me home and tucked me in to bed. I'll miss that. Goodbye.

But the silver lining is now we can use the emergency exit whenever we want

he was a pain... but i loved him, i would just wave at him with my headphones on as he yelled at me for using the overly convenient emergency exit... but seriously the MTA sucks at managing a budget.. remember that 3 million dollar sign that sorta tells you when the train is coming but not really... bring our useless dude in the vest back

That guy was a pain, I'm glad there's no one to bitch about the emergency exit door being used anymore. We can all now walk out in peace.

This is so sad! It was so nice to have someone to say hello to every day on our way to the city and on our way home. He definitely rescued me on a few occasions and I'm grateful we had him there while we did. Goodbye, we'll miss you!

Funny that the Lorimer St dude is gone as Lorimer actually have a train transfer and could use a booth tenant, but the Montrose lady is still there...

I lived by this stop for six years now and never had a need for this agent. The one on Union Avenue end of the same station is still there. Did you ask his name?
