Lots of Cook-offs These Days

Williamsburg's got a whole slew of cook-offs to compete in and/or grub down at this weekend. From hummus to apple pie, if you play this right there's no chance you'll wake up Monday skinny and sad.
1. A hummus cook-off, part of a fundraiser for Craig Murphey's Fellowship at Hope Lounge on Saturday (6pm). This is the good-hearted one where money raised goes to literally help the hungry of this city eat.
2. The annual Apple Pie cook-off at Enid's on Saturday around 4, judged by "food experts" like the Brooklyn Kitchen and crew. This one usually inspires a whole slew of "hey look hipsers cooking" stories so watch out for media!
3. The Food Obstructions, er a Sunday evening cook-off that must include one purple ingredient, one locally-sourced ingredient, no pork, fruit, vegetables, and cost no more than $25. Those are the obstructions. This one's at the Gutter at 7:30.
4. And last but not least, this Tuesday will be the fifth annual Casserole Party at Brooklyn Label in Greenpoint. It will be "back and badder than ever," so, yea watch out casserole freaks!
