Win a sick boat cruise, this Saturday at east River Bar

Saturday, December 1st, the East River Pirates and East River Bar host a charity event for Viva con Agua. Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli is a charitable organisation based in St. Pauli, Hamburg, Germany, campaigning for clean drinking water worldwide. There will be a charity auction featuring a whole lot of amazing items including a luxury boat cruise abroad the AIDA with stops in Germany (Hamburg), Norway (Bergen), Faroe Islands, Iceland (Reykjavik), Greenland, Canada (St. Johns and Halifax) and New York City. Of course there will also be live music by Primitive Weapons, Call of the Wild and Reggay Lords as well as some St.Pauli soccer action on the big screen.

FC St.Pauli plays 1.FC Kaiserlautern that day and the match will be shown on the big screen at East River Bar. The shindig starts at 6pm sharp with Primitive Weapons playing a classic halftime show at around 7pm. Call of the Wild goes on right after the game at around 8 or 8:30ish. Please come out and support Viva con Agua. Make a difference while getting shitfaced with New York City’s St.Pauli supporters club. A Facebook invite with additional info is here.

Prong played on a boat

The last time I saw Prong, they headlined the Dynamo Festival in the Netherlands in front of 120.000 kids in 1994. Yesterday the band played an intimate Rocks Off show on a boat, cruising around the island of Manhattan. What fun!

+++CANCELLED+++ FM Einheit [EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN] plays Halloween show at The Acheron +++CANCELLED+++

+++CANCELLED+++CANCELLED+++ CANCELLED+++CANCELLED+++CANCELLED+++

You’d think VISA issues should be sorted out by the time one agrees to playing shows here. Apparently not so much in the case of German national, FM Einheit. His scheduled performance at The Acheron on 10/31 is cancelled for this very reason, VISA issues.

FM Einheit
, the only legitimate (former) creative force behind German deconstruction force Einstürzende Neubauten, will be playing a special Halloween show at The Acheron in East Williamsburg on October 31. This is one of only two US dates. Don’t miss the truest of all of 2012′s ‘metal’ shows. All rusty details below, including an advance ticket link. We strongly suggest to get a ticket ahead of time. This is sure to sell out.
