Descendents & Hot Water Music played Saint Vitus

After Riot Fest at Williamsburg Park was cancelled due to the tornado that hit the city, Descendents and Hot Water Music headed over to Saint Vitus to play a free and intimate show. 20 minutes after the show was announced, 800 people clogged the sidewalk in front of the small Greenpoint bar. 300 (give or take) made it in. The show of course was nuts. Watch video edits of both sets below.

Songs included are “All My Friends Are Dead”, “Back To Dungaree High”, “I Got A Knife”, “Get It On” and “I Got Erection”.

On a related note. If you want to check out why Turbonegro loves FC St.Pauli, go to East River Bar in Williamsburg on Saturday, September 1 for the 6pm match viewing party of FC St.Pauli vs SV Sandhausen. The event is hosted by the local New York City FC St Pauli supporters group “East River Pirates“. These match viewing are usually a rowdy good time.

Silver Process played “Die Säge des Todes”

Last Saturday experimental avant-garde crew “Silver Process” played on a roof in Bushwick. The five-piece created a live score to Jess Franco’s trash classic “Die Säge des Todes“. The personnel for this special performance was Joe Merolla – cello, Chuck Bettis – electronics, Dave Miller – percussion, Jeff Tobias – alto saxophone and Dylan Angell – trumpet. A full audio recording of the set will be available for streaming on the band’s website soon. For the time being, here’s a little video edit.
