some halfassed MMJ/Flaming Lips clone – as boring as Mercury Rev these days or that band The Silent League – I mean, yeah they can play and write songs but there’s an overall general sameness and derivativeness to it – good elevator music I guess for your ride up to Pitchforkmedia office headquarters
