Blu LoungeFrom City Search
"Two different flavors: an intimate bar and a sizable party room. With couches, club chairs and pin-ups on the walls, this Williamsburg lounge is an inviting spot for dates and small get-togethers. For a higher-volume evening, the large, checkered-floor back room hosts karaoke and DJ nights as well as private parties. The bar serves cocktail specials, sake and light snacks, such as hot buttered popcorn and chicken fingers."
From New York Magazine
"BLU Lounge coaxes the silliness out of a neighborhood whose modish reputation always precedes it. Every Tuesday night, a guy-girl emcee team explores new karaoke themes like "Brain Dead" (heavy on the punk rock) and "White Trash"(think fake Southern drawl and belly-bowed Ts). Cloying pinup girls vie for your attention in the mismatched front room, where $7 Car Bombs (Guinness with a shot of Jameson's and Bailey's plunked in) and $8 coconut martinis are usually passed up for a Bud or Stella ($4). BLU is the first and last-stop bar in the 'Burg because it offers two rarities even on its busiest nights: It serves burgers and fries until 3am and you can actually hear what your friend is yelling. - Allegra Muzzillo"
