CITY SEARCH SAYS: This sister of the original East Village cafe/bar is known for its good food, drinks and warm hospitality. The menu is full of moderately-priced classic American comfort food including vegetarian and vegan dishes made with fresh (and some organic) ingredients. The relaxed atmosphere, full bar, friendly staff and social intermingling, all reminiscent of the original East Village days 25 years ago, sets both eateries apart. It's located in the midst of the burgeoning art community, blending the East Williamsburg Industrial Park with the emerging Bushwick neighborhood. Stop by for revolving art shows and monthly "Words in the Bush" storytellers' night. All life is here. It's an inviting haven in the evolving landscape -- a cozy bohemian hangout where all are welcome.
