HOURS: Daily, 5pm-4am
CARDS: American Express, MasterCard, Visa
GAMES: Ms. Pacman, Emerald, Pinball
HAPPY HOUR: Daily, 5pm-9pm; $3 Brooklyn Lager, $2 Miller Lite; $1 off all other drinks

MAP: Click Here
SUBWAY: L to Graham Ave.
NYMAG SAYS: Famously owned by the almost-famous band The Rogers Sisters, Daddy's has quickly become a neighborhood institution, thanks mostly to its market-cornering location, pointedly eclectic jukebox (Royal Trux, vintage country), and college-wallet-friendly prices. (Sorry, they don't accept Campus Cash.) It’s a great place for prospective market researchers to go on a trend-spotting safari—many experts believe that the vintage-boots-over-jeans thing was born here. With cozy booths and a wide, horseshoe-shaped bar, Daddy’s is nevertheless spacious enough to comfortably support rival cliques...and an Elvis pinball machine. The beer and the liquor selections are limited but for those who overindulge in hard drinking, Daddy's is kind enough to provide hot/tofu dogs to absorb any excess booze.

HAPPY HOUR: Brooklyn beers are $3 from 4pm to 8pm daily
DIRECTIONS: From Graham Ave. L Train - Walk away from the Williamsburg bridge on Metropolitan one block. The bar will be on your left, just before the White Castle.

SUBWAY: L Train to Graham Ave
CITY SEARCH SAYS: Elusive Pencil Factory co-owner Sean O'Rourke and partners knocked down the Blue Lady Lounge and handbuilt a spacious bar that's rich with rough-hewn planks and polished dark barstools. The largely unpretentious artists of Williamsburg's Italian section are sweet on the place's regional microbrews, among them a well-rounded local selection from the Brooklyn, Six Points and Ommegang breweries. In addition to the 20-seat bar and a number of group tables inside, the back patio stays open all night. Brooklyn beers, which normally go for $4 (a buck less than other pints here), are $3 each from 4pm to 8pm daily. Though beer is the focus, single malts, Irish coffee and hot toddies are a winter signature. Eight wines are served by the glass.

Legion

[formerly The Pourhouse]
ADDRESS: 790 Metropolitan Ave., Brooklyn , NY 11211
(corner of Humbolt)
CARDS: Master Card, Visa, American Express
SUBWAY: L Train to Graham

MARTINI BOYS SAY: There was a time when the Legion was known exclusively as a hang out for American war vets to drown their memories with cheap alcohol and the company of others who have experienced the same horrors of war. The Legion has now taken on a new incarnation as a hip hang out spot, replacing Pourhouse, and the American Legion has yet to file a trademark suit. My only advice: don't expect any heroes here

R Bar

NY MAG SAYS: "Now that Bedford Avenue has sold out to Tasti D-Lite, this friendly dive by the BQE cuts right through the area's surge of vanilla flavor. Its interior is basic, with red walls, some garish paintings, and a solid jukebox stocked with the Pixies, Frank Sinatra and PJ Harvey. Other entertainment includes a big-screen TV (which comes in handy for "Sopranos" pizza parties), Big Buck Hunter II and a Top Gun Challenge darts game, as well as Scrabble, Jenga and Twister. Though most evenings the scene tends to be small and laid-back, the bar's special events can bring out a raucous streak—particularly Tuesday nights, when Carter's Boys Library encourages adorable men to strip down to their skivvies (for kicks as well as a free drink). The happy hour, which runs til 9 p.m. daily, offers a two-for-one deal on any of the eight tap beers, among them a pleasing Sixpoint ale."

* The Richardson

451 Graham Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222
(at Richardson Street, beside the BQE)
PHONE: 718.389.0839
HOURS: 12pm-4am
CARDS: All Major
SUBWAY: L Train to Graham
FOOD: It's mainly a cocktail lounge, but smakll dishes are available
MAP: Click Here
WEBSITE: http://therichardsonnyc.com
CITY SEARCH SAYS: Despite the fact that it's located right under the Brooklyn Queens Expressway, a long mahogany bar, wainscot wood paneling, wooden slat blinds, sconce lighting, old-fashioned cash registers, gold brocade wallpaper, and a soundtrack of mostly pre-1969 American classics provide a romantic backdrop. It's a pleasant alternative to the otherwise uber-cool Williamsburg bar scene. The $9 specialty cocktails, served up by friendly mixologists, are reasonably priced and extremely tasty. High-back bar stools make for a more comfortable drinking experience. The Richardson has a great selection of wines, liquors and frothy German and American beers on tap. Although the marble-painted stucco columns that separate the long angular bar are designed to create a more intimate vibe, the space still feels a bit too large. Grilled sandwiches and other light fare is served between the hours of 1pm and 2am daily.

HAPPY HOUR: Daily, 5pm-8pm; $1 off house drinks, wine, and mixed drinks

SUBWAY: L Train to Grand or Graham
WEBSITE: www.stainbar.com
CITY GUIDE SAYS:"A few subway stops east of the big Bedford Ave. scene in Williamsburg, you'll find this boxy hangout, happily flying below the radar. Named after that pesky rouge ring many a wine glass has left behind, Stain is drenched in the wine color palette, with maroon walls and dark pink and red plush couches strewn about. Wine selections chosen from a surprisingly short list of regional vintages are served in stemless glassware. A small stage graces the back of the room, the old lamp and chair make it look like a set piece waiting for some action. And it does get action, in the form of weekly open mic nights, live music including jazz, and the occasional costume contest. The garden space out back looks like the rare New York backyard: no landscaping, just a few chairs and the occasional random piece of art in the unruly yard."

DIRECTIONS: L to Graham

SUBWAY: From Graham Street L Station - Go east on Graham (C Town will be on your left) 3 blocks and Sweet Ups will be on your right, just before you reach Grand Street.
WE SAY: Not to be missed.... this is one of our favorite Graham stop bars. Reasonable drink prices, a friendly staff and lovely red velvet wallpaper that gives the place a shadowy French noir feel. Plus, it's always very dark for those of you who want to pretend you're in an Amsterdam hash den. Their specialties are sweet, yummy cocktails like the blackberry bramble.
