Don't Forget To Vote

Polls don’t close in New York until 9pm. There’s still time to voice your opposition to Bloomberg buying his way into a third term. New York voted to keep term limits in place, but Bloomberg doesn’t give a damn. This pretty much sums up his arrogance:

Ask Mayor Bloomberg about job creation statistics and you’re fine. Ask him about that pesky term limits thing and, apparently, “you’re a disgrace.”
Bloomberg – who controversially got the City Council to lift the two-term limit so he could try for a third – yesterday went off on a reporter who questioned his rationale for running again.
At a Queens news conference to announce $31.7 million in federal stimulus funds Bloomberg said there has been a change for the better in the city’s “psychology.”
Describing himself as “very optimistic,” he said problems remain, but cited gains in the commercial real estate market and a renewed willingness among citygoers to spend again at stores and restaurants.
But the mayor seemed provoked when a reporter asked if the upturn eliminated the need for a third Bloomberg term. He had argued, in part, that the city needs his management expertise in such rough economic times.
“Why don’t you just get serious questions here?” he interrupted New York Observer reporter Azi Paybarah.
Bloomberg closed the news conference, thanked the attendees – and then glared at Paybarah and said quietly, “You’re a disgrace.”

Here’s the video:
