Gothamist: Jelly Planning 2nd, Smaller Summer Concert Series in South Williamsburg
Jen C. and John over at Gothamist are hot on the trail of reports that Jelly, unwitting overlords of the over-enforced Pool Parties, will soon be announcing another summer concert series on the Williamsburg waterfront.
This one will be a bit smaller, more homemade, and hopefully less-crowded than the weekly shows at East River State Park, which will of course continue on towards oblivion until OSA or the new neighbors swallow them alive.
We were told that the series will occur on “six Saturdays over the next three months at a brand new outdoor venue in Williamsburg that will include the long-awaited return of the Slip n’ Slide!” All shows will be free, beers will be cheap (Six Point is a sponsor), and lineups will be announced next week.
Jelly confirmed that the venue will be in South Williamsburg but not on the water, as John initially speculated. Hm! Where, oh where, will my Jelly be?
