Group Sounds begin their residency Tuesday June 14th at Sin-e. If you haven’t heard them yet, be sure to check them out. They recently opened for The Kills and offer up fun, unpretentious pop that’s a welcome break from the derivative post-punk that’s monopolizing New York clubs these days.

THE Park’s revamped rooftop debuted with a star-studded bash the other night, but luckily, the infamous hot tub remains at the 10th Avenue party palace. And it didn’t take long for tipsy guests to inaugurate its murky waters. First in was Group Sounds keyboardist Sexy Joe, who stripped down to nothing but his headband and jumped in with two buxom blondes wielding bottles of champagne. More cautious revelers like Simon Le Bon, designer Luca Orlandi, Peter Beard, and top models Josie Maran and Audrey Quock watched from a safe distance. Jessica Simpson , with a sizeable entourage of bubbly blond clones but minus hubby Nick Lachey, also partied within splashing distance of the bare-arsed rocker after dining at nearby Vento with friends.
