The Dick Dialogues
Sex in the Sub-City
Yes,
it's finally happened. My play, The Dick Dialogues,
is opening in New York. This has been a long time coming,
the endless script rewrites, the intense casting sessions,
the hours of rehearsals, the strenuous producing, and I
can honestly say that the finished product is fucking fantastic.
It's been a lot of stress and sweat, but it's all come together
beautifully. And I would love love love it if you'd consider
attending one of the performances. If you like dudes, dicks
and rock and roll (there's live music! And video! It's a
true multi-media extravaganza!) this show is for you.
Another reason for attending is the fact that the play
will be at Collective Unconscious (145 Ludlow between Stanton
and Rivington, F to 2nd Ave or J, M Z to Delancey), which
is closing in July. They are desperately trying to raise
funds to move to a new space, so consider this your opportunity
to help out one of the last remaining art spaces left on
the Lower East Side, which is well on its way to becoming
a yuppie playground.
SHOW DATES:
Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00
January 30, 31, February 6, 7, 13 and 14
TICKETS:
Tickets are only $10, which is a bargain compared to how
much they're going to cost when we - hopefully - move to
a theater Off-Broadway. However, if you are short on funds,
there are some ways to bring down the price:
Groups of 5 get in for $45 (a savings of 5 dollars!)
Groups of 10 get in for $85 (a savings of 15 dollars!)
Standing-room tickets are only 5 dollars!
Don't get cock-blocked! Make reservations or come early.

ABOUT THE PLAY:
The Dick Dialogues is a multi-media production celebrating,
exploring and satirizing masculinity and male sexuality.
It is a voyeuristic look at several taboo subjects (size,
sexual performance, masturbation, oral sex), discussed by
all kinds of men (gay/straight, old/young, black/white,
nerdy/sporty), in an attempt to showcase the entire panoply
of malehood and what it means to have a penis.
What The Dick Dialogues is NOT: a reactionary critique
of The Vagina Monologues or "chick lit"; a cheeky
Queer Eye/metrosexual farce; a call to male empowerment
comprised of naked drumbeating in the woods and the like.
The Dick Dialogues features live, original music by the
underground art band Pretty Flowers (including the play's
theme song, "All Men Have Dicks/Not All Men Are Dicks"),
and video by Elle Burchill. Rounding out the production
is a talented, dynamic cast made up of New York's best and
brightest rising stars.
See you at the show!
