Club Krib—is a DIY music venue that brings to mind the ramshackle headquarters of an autodidactic art-punk collective. In fact, it sort of is: The place doubles as a home for the organizers, whose shared bedrooms flank its front hall. Deteriorating walls bear the marks of the tenants’ creative proclivities, ranging from standard Sharpie tags to elaborate faux-textbook illustrations. Much like its fellow DIY Brooklyn venues like Death by Audio and 979 Broadway Backyard, the atmosphere is that of an organized house party; cover charges rarely exceed those at those all-ages hard-core matinee shows, but the music on tap is a bit more eclectic than one’s standard drunk-punk lineup. More than a few blog-honored acts have graced the “stage,” located in the large living room/corner kitchen at the dusty center of the house. Despite the inherent awkwardness of attending a show in someone’s house, the Barn is very welcoming.

My name is Derek Gumin and I am the manager of Fishdoctor, an up and coming Brooklyn based indie/electro band with a great following. Fishdoctor has just released a four track downloadable EP online and is currently looking for local live venues to perform.
Fishdoctor is a re-vamped band consisting of three long time friends and musicians and two new additions for vocals. Fishdoctor are talented and young, and always puts on an entertaining show. We attract an alternative/trendy/and hip crowd of both girls and guys, ranging anywhere from 18-40. The band members and myself have many connections with the local music and bar scene around BK and NYC and can provide advertising for the show as well. Fishdoctor is looking to play a single slot of about 20-30 minutes and are willing to play on any night.
