Seriously, who thought this appearance was a good idea? In a 40 minute interview on a comedy show, something off-color is bound to slip out, and that’ll be the clip that idiot media outlets like us will replay until the proverbial tape breaks. Retards.

I don’t think it was such a bad idea to go on Leno. Nobody gives the President crap when he does a hard news show. Sure, late night talk shows are more off the cuff and politicians are more likely to screw up but the thing is, Obama is really, really likable. The reason he can kind of get away with things that Bush could not because people like him more. So I think the choice made sense given who he is. Also, the media might be tossing around the story but I think most people weren’t offended, and just see the upside of him apologizing so overall, not a bad choice to do the show, screw up or not.
I especially love how he’s given hell for saying something in the spectrum of most people’s daily conversations. Like the person above said – most people probably were not even offended.
And what, should para athletes be exempt from making fun of? Call me cynical, but what’s the fair game in that? double standards?
