Mexican 'Anti-Emos' Hate Skinny Jeans & Bright Eyes

Ok this events had nothing to do with emo’s really. I mean…there’s a lot of stuff what makes mexican people feel angry (bad goverment, poor social conditions, inadecuate education, terrible economics, shity regional music, etc) so the emo’s bashing was some sort of a joke that gone bad. What’s really scary here is the media reaction to all of this! They are stereotyping some parts of the mexican youth with stupid cliches and selling crappy news to cover really important issues like the oil! (kinda joking here but…) I admit that there are some anti emo feelings but its not like a big movement or anything like skinheads in europe, what happens here its that mexican people can loose control very easy and tend to focus their anger against what’s vulnerable. In conclusion there’s more behind those fights and for sure its not about being an emo…well maybe just for a couple of people who encourage the hatred, but I think it clearly represents the social issues that makes this country a divided one.
