Refunds?!
Cat Power, who cancelled her tour early this year for alleged “health reasons,” has announced new tour dates. Frustratingly, she’s yet to announce any info about refunds for all of us dumb enough to buy tickets for her New York performances in Feb. Anyone have any info on this? (We truly hope she’s well, but given Chan Marshall’s track record for erratic behavior and bailing on shows, we are skeptical about her claims in February).
That’s why I only buy tickets to shows put on by stable performers like the God-like Art Brut.

An evening with Cat Power & the Memphis Rhythm Band, which would have taken place on February 16, has been cancelled. NYU Program Board & the Skirball Center apologizes for the cancellation.
Ticket buyers will be contacted directly by a Skirball Center box office
representative explaining how to exchange their tickets for a different
Skirball Center production, request a refund, or donate the value of tickets
to the Skirball Center. The Skirball Center box office phone number is

Wow. That is really annoying and frustrating for those who bought tickets and the venue.
Built to Spill just reschedulled their July shows for October, but that was all taken care of. We were worried, however.
