NY MAG SAYS: The owners have created lots of alfresco breathing room by converting the former truck-weighing station next door into a secret garden. "We fenced it in because outside"—industrial Williamsburg—"is so ugly," says co-owner Pilar Rigon, who singlehandedly planted a nursery's worth of flowers and potted fruit trees. The menu, like the owners, is Italian, featuring light summer fare like lasagnette with vegetables ratatuglia, and strawberry grouper and celery in guazzetto. A stone walkway wends through the "lounge" and the dining area. And if the East River breeze doesn't cool you off, 718 B-klyn's cocktails ought to do the trick.

I think this restaurant is great, and I lived in Italy for a good while. Friendly service, and the white lasagna is wonderful. Good 1950's/60's tunes. Americans are overfed. Small portions are a good thing.

The seats were hard, metal spring-in-the-ass originality at the booths.

This was after we moved inside from the patio, which we could not tolerate for more than 5 minutes due to acquiring mosquito bites on the wrists and ankles.

The food was mediocre, and certainly not worth the price.

At least when I go to "diner" on B'dway and Berry, it might be overpriced, but it tastes like what I paid for.

Trendy Williamsburg for ya.

awful.

i went once, they took fourty five minutes to serve us, there was a table of the owners friends in the back, and the mac and cheese was mircowaved. yuck.

this ones a dont.

Disgusting.

they changed the name (718?)and the menu, but this place is still a piece of crap. i watched them microwave my tasteless mashed potatoes, and the meatloaf would have been good if it was the only thing to eat on a 16hr. plane ride. this place must be some sort of drug front since i've lived next door since it opened and there is never anyone in there. the constantly barking dogs on the roof give you the impression that its a meth lab disguised as a trendy restaurant. the writers of the magazine reviews must be on the payroll, or possibly we're also threatened with arrent.

To the mods of www.freewilliamsburg.com, please update your menu for Miss Williamsburg. Many of the entrees here are no longer offered and those that are cost twice as much as you have listed.

I should've been smart enough to read the user reviews. This place sucked. The food sucked. The music sucked. The wait staff sucked. My drink sucked. I just paid $50 for tiny, ugly portions of food that tasted like wet dog. I think I'll go throw up.

My partner and I spent Saturday walking all over Brooklyn and decided to treat ourselves to what we thought would be a nice dinner at the Miss Williamsburg Diner.

I ordered the lasagna from the menu listed as “seen on food tv’s ultimate lasagna”. Upon its arrival it looked suspiciously like the lasagna listed on that evening's specials, a white lasagna, and certainly not worthy of the “ultimate” title.

We asked the waitress if the kitchen had made a mistake. She took my dish back to the kitchen and returned saying that it was in fact the “ultimate lasagna”.

She saw that I unhappy with my meal and that I was not going to eat what was served to me, yet did not offer another entree. Instead she offered freshly ground pepper.

We told the waitress that we were unhappy and were willing to pay for the wine and leave her a large tip but would not pay for the food as it was not what we ordered and we were not going to eat it. Again she made no attempt to correct the situation.

She asked the manager to come over and we explained the situation. The manager immediately said that if we wanted to leave without paying for the food that he would call the police, never apologizing and/or offering to provide something more to our liking.

We sat there for a few minutes, finished our wine, and not touching our food while the manager called the police. After 10 minutes we said screw it, paid the check ($50 for two glasses of wine and two uneaten entrees) and left.

We should have known there was something wrong with the place as the one other table there on Saturday night at 8PM was a table of the manager's friends.

The bite of the lasagna I did have was BLAND, the portion small and nothing provided as a side.

Worst restaurant experience I have ever had.

The backyard is, I think, the nicest in w'burg, sure wish the food didn't suck. I was a little upset at paying $18 for a plate of spaghetti with cat food sauce (which was supposedly ground tuna and monkfish, but I'm pretty sure it was the managers special, day old beef from c-town), when I could've saved $17 and ate a cold can of chef boyardee. The pitcher of sangria on the other hand was deliscious. I also had a good appetizer of mussels, but there was only about ten small mussels on the plate for around $8-9, I mean seriously, these things go for about a dollar a pound. Won't go back for dinner - but I have already been back for drinks.

Dined here last night. Calamari was tender, but would prefer it without the crumbly breading. Special asparagus salad appetizer was delicious. Service was attentive and knowledgeable, but we were the only customers in the restaurant. My entree, their signature dish, lasagne was very creamy but rather one-dimensional in flavor. My husband enjoyed his mixed grill on skewers, but it was nothing exceptional. We will probably give them another chance, but for now we'll stick to Aurora.

i've eaten here twice and it has sucked both times. i agree with above post. esp about it being overpriced and the portions small. also backyard is great, but always playing (at least the 2 times I was there) really loud cheesy electro/house crap, it was in a word, oppressive

io sto lavorando a Merano.
sare felice di avere tue notizie.
AD OGNI MODO BUONA FORTUNA

About once a year i keep giving this place a chance. i love the atmosphere but the food is consistently unimpressive, overpriced and there's not a lot of it. the last time i was there i vowed to never return when i requested parm. cheese for my MARINARA sauce and linguine and was denied. i can see if it were on fish or a white sauce etc etc, but this was simple marinara sauce. I was very unhappy. Sidenote: twice when i was there, so was ethan hawke. take that how you may.
