WE SAY: An adorable wine bar with yummy Italian snacks. The atmosphere is intimate, warm, and charming and the wine selection is wide and reasonably priced. The cheese plate is affordable and a delicious accompaniment to the vast wine selections. An essential for wine lovers. The Mortadella Panino with Fontina, Basil, and Capers on Ciabatta is great.
From New York Magazine
"The wine at this rustic Williamsburg enoteca with a Sardinian slant flows like Rheingold at a frat party. Which might explain why the ebullient, mostly Italian crowd is hugging and chain-toasting one another late into the night. For sustenance, try piquant honey-drizzled sheep's-milk cheese paired with a Sardinian red Cannonau served in a two-ounce glass called a marzianetto, or a delicious pressed panino on crusty Sullivan Street ciabatta. Recommended Dishes: Mortadella Panino with Fontina, Basil, and Capers on Ciabatta, $6 "
From City Search:
"Dim lighting, rustic wood tables and endearing details, like hand-printed menus held together with wooden spoons, invite intimacy at this cozy Sardinian wine bar. Small groups of friends and romantic couples find comfort in the restaurant's down-to-earth air and bustling pace. It's heaven for bread, cheese and cured-meat lovers. Assorted platters offer a chance to nibble on antipasti and salami; add a fresh salad of arugula, Parmesan and shaved fennel to contrast. Don't miss crostoni topped with chicken liver pâté. The tiramisu just might restore your faith in this ubiquitous dessert."

Great place, very good food, entertaining and funny Bartenders (who wouldn't hesitate to hit on your GF right in front of you, as i witnessed done on the couple in the table next to me, the guy almost flipped but was subdued by his GF), very good wine selection, great service. Romantic, sometimes can be a little tight.

This place in its set-up is so very simple so very casual... you would never guess that it would have such a carefully selected wine list of all sicilian wines, loads of those odd Italian varietals that you dont come across too often. It was really quite odd to have our waiter speak to us like 'people' rather than 'clients' from whom he wants cash and good tips (yes, sure... it was a service facade!... and if so it was so very well fabricated and so free of pretense and so very beleivable).
ANYWAY... This waiter knew the wine list inside out and was more than willing to answer any questions about anything...
The next time I went In a week later the waiter remembered my name, which was so very welcoming and then it dawned on me.... They ARE treating me like a PERSON!! WHAT A FREAKING RARITY... its like visitng a friends place even if you get a different waiter... these guys believe in their product and hence they dont need to phaff it up, so as a result theyre just able to be themselves.
Im sure some dont like the very relaxed casuality of the place...gees lighten up... thats what I love about the place. With wine so great and tasty treats to match, I relax at the mere thought of the place. While the staff wont be wanting to kiss your ass in the process of serving... the service will come and I dont mind waiting a little bit. When the product is so good, Im more than happy to be a bit relaxed about the service.

Totally got ripped off!!!! Made a reservation for large party requiring a 20 minimum per person then got the bill and the wine was seperate- so we paid boat load and the 18% that was included as a tip wasnt worth it since the service was terrible... :(
