From City Search

"On the same stretch of blocks as Galapagos, Northsix and Sweet Water Tavern, Anytime appeases streams of bargoers with its round-the-clock eats. Its small industrial space is painted in white, gray and orange, and holds a takeout counter with a couple of suspended wooden-beam tables. The best thing about the space, though, is skipping it and getting snacks delivered to your door.Grilled sandwiches, soups and toasts (such as smoked mozzarella and roasted peppers) provide the primary sustenance, along with appetizers in the jalapeno popper/buffalo wing family. The eight-ounce burger arrives well-done on a shiny bun--comforting stuff, especially when accompanied by tater tots. Potato leek and scallion soup is green and flavorful, and the balanced fruit yogurt shake satisfies. Anytime's menu shifts with the seasons, offering chilled soups and sophisticated salads in the summer."

NEW YORK MAG SAYS:

Can a late-night restaurant with offerings that run the gamut from low-brow mozzarella sticks to ambitious pan-seared salmon actually be any good? Yes. And happily, this establishment on Williamsburg's North Side succeeds in being most things to most people. Your image-conscious friends will dig its hipness: banquets swathed in nubby orange upholstery cradle Diesel- and Seven-sheathed behinds on a regular basis. Cash-strapped pals will appreciate the excellent value. After a couple of drinks, even you'll be pleased with the availability of cheap, greasy tater tots and chicken fingers at post-last call hours. And once you've sobered up enough to have your culinary wits about you, try the silky and tangy hummus with a garlicky bite—a point of pride with the Israeli owner.

I'm not sure what all the complaints regarding service are about...our waiter was friendly & attentive even though the place was busy, the bartender was nice, and the busboy regularly came over and cleared our plates & empties, and even he was friendly and talked with us (makes me wonder if some of you need to learn manners yourselves). $1 PBR's are all I could ask for. the tots were awesome. Not gourmet or anything but really good comfort food. We hung out here for about two hours before going to a show at the theater down the street and didn't have any problems.

The sign outside has come down though and I saw something saying commercial space for rent, tho not sure if that was for upstairs or downstairs, so maybe it's closing down.

I just ordered anytime and my food arrived in almost ten minutes. which is unusual, but it still happens. the jalapeno poppers were still warm and very crispy and the pita I got with my hummous was hot. those two items, as well as the vegetable lasagna, are all that I'll eat from this place any more.

if I'm hungry and need food at 2:30 in the morning then anytime is good enough for me. I'd never eat there otherwise. if you really really hate this place, though, call HANA FOOD, on metropolitan by the lorimer stop. 24 hour delivery, they'll bring you cigarettes and booze, and the food's actually kinda good for you. even if it doesn't taste much better than anytime. they're just a bit pricy. (718)218-7747

are you people freakin serious!!!!!! anytimes is the best. their burgers onion rings and tater tots are great. i don't know about u guys but the customer service was great too. but besides all of that the main point is that the drinks are great and cheap!!!!! who cares about anything else

THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CONDEMNED BY THE BOARD OF HEALTH AND THE EMPLOYEES SHOULD ALL HAVE TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL TO LEARN HOW TO LISTEN AND SERVICE A CUSTOMER. CLOSE THIS SPACE AND MAKE IT SOMETHING USEFUL! SOMETHING WILLIAMSBURG CAN USE OR NOT, MAKE IT ANOTHER THAI PLACE -BUT SOMEONE JUST CLOSE THIS HOLE DOWN!

do not eat at this place. i got hepatitus A from one of their pressed sandwiches.

at first i was pleased with them adding pepper corns to their parmesan press, only to later find out they were dingle berries.

avoid at all costs.

Why this place is still in business is beyond me. Have the tastebuds of the locals really gone that sour? The service is stoned. They consistently overcharge ($20 gratuity was charged on my card for a $30 order WTF). The only reason why anyone would order from this place is if they were wasted and it's 3am. Even still, just pick up a bag of cheesy poofs at your local deli and you'll be infinitely more satisfied.

A lot of their stuff is on the greasy side, but I just ordered their pear and pecan salad with chicken, and bread pudding for dessert. it was totally yummy.

how can anyone compali about this place? $1 drinks for hapy hour and amazing tater totz. We come all the way from Park Slope on a regular basis for this deal, and the burgers, soup and onion rings arent bad either. dont know about the other entrees, but who the hell cares when drinks are a buck? get drunk and go somewhere else, or skip the food cuz odds are you are too fat anyway and need a break from junk food.

I live this place... They have really great soups, and at 4:00AM its the best place i know to eat... The music can be a bit loud for that time of the night thu..

Hey Mike Rees, you're totally right, I mean..cough, shill, cough...sorry, something in my throat...Anytime is awesome and they...cough, shill, cough...never fuck up orders...cough, suckit, cough...wait, what?

I was a bit reluctant after reading some of the reviews, but it was late and I was pretty hungry. The burrito they served was amazing and the delivery was very prompt. Since then I've been ordering once every week or so and I have no complaints!

I have only had good experiences eating at Anytime. I ordered the meat lasagna last night and was very pleased. I find that the quality is generally the same throughout the entire night, and I have personally never been disappointed. The prices are great too!

The dinner menu says, "Falafel Sandwich - hummus, fine chopped salad, pita bread" & choice of side $6.95.

I ordered a falafel sandwich with tator tots (tator tots were for my husband), what I got was a FRENCH FRIED stuffed falafel sandwich!!

My husband called and spoke to a man who claimed to be the manager and all he could offer was a 'yeah, that's how they're made, just take the french fries out of the falafel" and hung up. I called immediatley after, asking for the manager, I get a woman who also claimed to be the manager and gave me a "'yeah, that's how they are made. I can SUGGEST a reprint of the menu."

SUGGEST a reprint?!!!!!

Maybe they should take a lesson from Mamoun's in the West Village on the art of making a falafel cause these hipster nazis got it wrong. Hell, I'll even suggest going to Chickpea - whatever it takes to get the stinkin' french fries out of my falafel!

Looks like "service" as well as "management" could use some work at this joint.

I just tried to order from anytime, i asked if i could order in advance and eat at the restauraunt since I know they are slow.

the guy said no and I asked him why not

he said "if you want it you have to come get it"

like i was a dog!

and than he hung up the phone!!!!

wow never had someone hang up on me like that, so rude it is amazing that they actually train their people for this kind of stuff to be acceptable.

well im gonna make my own tuna melt tonight!

I order from Anytime a few times a month.

I have been their customer for about 4 years now.

Noticed that their service is getting worse by the minute.

For the last 2+ months I have called to place orders, they tell me to call
in 15 minutes, which I do call then same "call in 15", only the 4th time
I got really angry they took my order.

The same happened about 8 to 10 times in less than 2 months.

It is always computer problem, either they are full of crap or they have ancient computers.

Interesting that when after I got mad, the computer out of nowhere pops back in service!!!!

needless to point out, food is always late and cold.

A friend of mine even got gratuity added to her bill, I guess would be OK if the deliveries weren't always late.

We call to complain, they give you ears full of crap. Raining, busy, short on drivers, as if it is my fault.
Don't promise 30 minutes if you can't do for whatever reasons you may believe you have.
Customer calls to order, we don't call to get lectures about business operation, if they put themselves in the position to explain, it means they are not providing the service they promised.

If you are really hungry at late at night hours, eat some dried up bread, it will be cheaper and it won' t cost you any hassle. You will get crapy food anyway, ice cold onion rings.

They lie to you to make a buck.

The idiots changed the name for Anytime at night.

The food is disgusting. If you are lucky they will be nice on the phone taking your order.

If you call because of their screw up they will put you on hold until till you get tired.

When someone talks to you is to give some crappy lecture, offering freaking credit for anytime crap, which they will never honor.

The other they this stupid girl kept repeating herself how it is not their fault that the fries were ice cold after I got the delivery almost two hours later.

Listen, I'm the first to say Anytime sucks. I'd even say Anytime sucks donkey balls. There food isn't very good, they often forget parts of my order and I've been cursed out more than once by their dumb, greedy asshole delivery guys. That said, they seem to be the only game in town for getting food delivered at 3:30 am.

Someone who commented earlier said that there were other options for late night delivery. Please, please, for the love of god, post what they are!!!! I work late, and when I get home I need food...and am usually too drunk or stoned to make it myself. I'd really appreciate knowing where else I can call!!!

Thanks much!

Been going there on-and-off for 4 years. Used to be a great place to go at 5 in the morning...not any more.

We tried to get delivery at 4.30am on Fri night/Sat morning and they told us it would be quicker if we came and got it, which we did, and when we got there the delivery guy was just leaving with our order. We got it off him and then realized we only had part of it, so we called "Any"time and they delivered what they had missed out - and charged us again.

Screw this place. It's gone to shit.

just called anytime 3 times in a row. was hung up on each time. fuck this place. really. you might as well go to white castle.

hey man, im a great cook when IM high, but seriously people, the food here is so iffy it will make u triple guess yourself, and your mother, and its only iffy because of the reviews. and thats why i havent eaten it. and if the place is so bad why dosent someone call 411?

DON'T ORDER FOOD AFTER 1 AM!!! EVERYONE FROM PHONE OPERATOR TO COOK TO DELIVERY GUY IS WASTED OR POSSIBLY HIGH..... THE FOOD SUCKS AND IT TAKES FOREVER!!!

really bad experience...I got my first taste of food poisoning after eating here. Not fun and really, the hunger pains at 2 am, are not woth it...

I live across the street from this place and when I first moved to the 'hood I ate there all the time. You could do that then, before they became "Occasionally". I'll admit I was addicted to those tuna/ cheddar melts. They make some good comfort food- tater tots f'shizzle.
But then, about a year and a half ago, I took the last bite of a burrito that contained a green and white striped garbage bag tie and when i mentioned it to the waiter he offered me- a drink on the house. Are you fucking kidding me?

I got chicken noodle soup there the other day which was very small expensive and for sure was Progresso soup

THIS PLACE SUX! ABSOLUTELY ZERO CONSUMER LOYALTY, TERRIBLY UNFRIENDLY HOSTS. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE WAY THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS! WE WAITED 40 MINUTES (WHEN WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD TAKE 5 MINUTES) FOR A TABLE AT THE BAR WHERE ONLY 3 SEATS WERE AVAILABLE FOR OUR PARTY OF 4. A TABLE FOR 6 WAS EMPTY IN A CORNER AND THE HOSTESS AND HOST DECIDED WE WERE NOT WORTHY OF TAKING THE TABLE, INSTEAD THEY SAID "YOU CAN EAT AT THE BAR" YES, EAT STANDING, RIGHT, HOW ON EARTH IS THAT POSSIBLE? HOW CAN THEY KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE WHILE SAYING THAT? THEN CAME THE EXCUSE OF THE TABLE BEING RESERVED WICH INDEED WAS A LIE FROM ONE OF THE HOSTS, SINCE THEY COULDN'T AGREE ON MAKING UP THE STORY BEFORE TELLING US, ONE OF THEM HAD A VERSION, THE OTHER HAD A COMPLETE DIFFERENT ONE. I USED TO GO TO THIS PLACE QUITE OFTEN, BRING FRIENDS AND LEAVE NICE TIPS, NOW I WOULDN'T PUT A FOOT IN THERE. NOT WORTH THE AGRAVATION AND I HOPE MORE PEOPLE REALIZE THIS AND STOP HANGING OUT THERE.

I've had wildly different experiences both order from and eating in at Anytime. Sometimes you get a great waiter, the food is excellent, and its a good time all around. Other times you feel like you're placing a phone order with someone who just shot up with smack as several items are invariably missing from your order and they manage to screw the pooch on the items which do show up.

Eating in generally works better than the delivery. If you do go with delivery, avoid anything fried as its cold and soggy by the time it gets to your door. Burgers are your best bet.

Q: How often will you're order be incorrect?
A: Everytime!
For years our company has ordered several times a week from Anytime. Our employees tip extremely well. We stopped ordering from these folks after numerous messed up and extremely late deliveries. The final straw was being offered nothing more than a free desert after a two hour late order arrived stone cold. What an insult. Months later faced w/ an extremely late night at the office we decided to try one more time. Woops half of our order was missing. Never again!!!

If you're looking for late night delivery, check around. There seems to be plenty of competition springing up these days.

PS - "Anytime" closes from 5am to 11am.

The food has drastically improved and the hours of service can't be beat. There are some duds - don't order the cheesecake - but my biggest complaint is their packaging, which is designed to make hot food get cold as quickly as possible. Why a hot sandwich can't be wrapped in a piece of tinfoil before being tossed into the uber-hip minimalist cardboard packaging I do not understand. It is the only drawback to ordering from them.

When I've eaten there earlier in the day -- months ago -- the food was excellent and the wait staff friendly. But the late-night delivery has saved my life. Even a simple salad, grilled cheese and fries can be delightful.

crappy lighting, and they've managed to bungle the food both times i've been there. and -- new hours -- 6 pm to 2/4am only.

watch out for ridiculous shit like charging .50c to sub mozz for chicken on a salad. no appreciation for customer loyalty.

I have only gotten delivery -- never eaten at the restaurant, but I am in love. The food really seems to have gotten much better in the last few months. The pan seared salmon & mashed potatoes are great, and the chocolate mousse is to die for! Also, they make some big, great sandwiches, and never skimp out on the fresh mozzerella. They also have some sides that are like traditional fast food items, mozzarella sticks, wings, etc., which are pretty good too. The wings are sweet, not spicy.
Everyone seems to be pretty hard on this place here, but I have no idea why. Try getting gourmet-style food delivered to your door from somewhere else at 3 in the morning.

Anytime claims to deliver to williamsburg, east williamsburg and bushwick, but when I tried to place a delivery for east williamsburg, I was denied. Their menu specifically states that they deliver to morgan ave, but eventhough I'm a short walk from that stop on the L, they would not deliver to me. So much for their so called convience...I will not be trying the food at anytime.

lame ass hipster underage drunks hang out there, so the food is obviously not worth the ambience

hummos is good. pita is good. everything else is incredibly sub par. but, they deliver 24 hours.

Resonably priced food and good decor. It's a bit dark to eat there for brunch but the food is tasty and well made, except for the one time they gave me canned pear on a salad. I find canned pear totally unexusable.
