THE OWNERS SAY: Just steps from the Williamsburg Bridge, A'shay Restaurant spices up Brooklyn with a fresh style of seafood fusion. Drawing culinary influences from almost every continent, the cozy establishment serves its cosmopolitan fare underneath a romantic lighting scheme and surrounded by a minimalist garden decor. Depending on the season, patrons can enjoy their meal indoors or in the outdoor garden. While they wait, guests can sip a drink at the wine bar, which features an extensive collection of contemporary varietals, clams and oysters on the half-shell and a revolving platter of artisanal cheeses. Popular dishes include Camarones con Ajo, large tiger shrimp served over a bed of plantains smothered in a spicy garlic sauce; Wild Citrus Glazed Salmon accompanied by coconut and mint basmati rice; and Chicken Picatta, cooked in a white wine sauce with capers and sun dried tomatoes.

This place is unbelievable. The mac n cheese is the best you will find in brooklyn - great cracked pepper taste. My boyfriend had the crab cakes, which were amazing (and I don't even like crab cakes). The mousse is so decadent and the presentation of all the dishes is superb. The fusion of flavors is something you will not find anywhere else. Definitely give it a try!

I went to Ashay last night for the first time, and had a great experience. The staff was attentive and helpful, the ambiance was inviting, and the food was great. We tried the salmon and it was delicious. The crab cakes were good as was the mac and cheese, which both were a little spicy. The banana bread pudding dessert was large enough to share and delicious. I highly reccomend this place.

This place is great! The sauces are so flavorful and make the meal. I highly recommend the crab cakes and the shrimp/plantains dish. My only complaint is that I think the shrimp entree should be bigger, it's more appetizer size than entree. But overall this place has delicious food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere.
