This place is a genuine Emilia-Romagna style Italian restaurant. Girlfriend is Italian, but she normally doesn't like Italian restaurants in the city. She loves this one! Don't go if you're into American Italian....
A gem....

This place isn't bad. Although I haven't eaten there recently and I mostly get delivery. But it's a solid standby for Italian in the neighborhood.

Love this place. I've been there about a dozen times in the last few months. Sampled basically the entire menu. Not everything was 100% perfect every single time, but I never had anything but a very good to great meal there. The servers and manager are also very nice and accommodating. A real neighborhood gem.

just had a date there last night, and it was lovely in every way (including the amazing man i was with...). Even though its a cozy-sized place and it was a Saturday night, we got a table right away. the service was great, the wine and dishes were all really satisfying and full of flavor. the handmade pastas are delicious. we unfortunately passed on dessert (too full!), it looked beautiful. and all really affordable. the complimentary sambuca and grappa were also really sweet.

Why is it that people who obiviously know nothing about food, and even less about running a restaurant, decide to waste everyone's time, energy, hard-earned money, real estate, and resources by dropping a rancid turd and pretending it's a legitmate restaurant?
After inquiring why an hour had passed since taking our orders and still no food had appeared, our server had the Nero-sized gall to inform us it was because we had only ordered one appetizer!
That kind of logic may fly at a mens room in Ibiza, or wherever our CK-One drenched server happen to hail from, but certainly not a place that claims to make their own pasta. Which, by the way, tasted like Chef Boyardee and had the texture and consistency of something one finds in a dumpster behind Planned Parenthood.
If you're in the neighborhood and you're hungry, save your money and go to the White Castle around the corner. If you're in mood for Italian, go to one of the red sauce places on Graham, or Aurora, where they actually know homemade pasta. But if you want to just throw your money away, and reaffirm your suspicion that all young cargo pants and beaded bracelet wearing Italians are douchebags that want to give your girlfriend the clap, then go to Il Passatore - where dysentery is on the house.

Just had lunch there on Saturday. The food was beyond ok, it was really great. The portions where just right as is the price. I had the lasagna and my husband had the salmon with a wonderful argula salad. We were both very pleased. The meals were both very flavorful and prepared just right. It is definitely worth the trip.

I am surprised that people write bad stuff, but I guess this little gem can stay all mine. Food is great and fresh, I love it!

I agree with Mike. My husband and I ordered from here a couple of nights ago (take out, because they wouldn't deliver to our apt only half a mile east of them, though they do deliver to Bedford / Nassau more than a mile away...). Anyway, the food was ok. The portions were small, the salad was boring, and the "authentic Italian flatbread" dish resembled a quesadilla. My favorite dish was the vegetarian lasagna which was fresh and flavorful. We'll give the place another chance and dine in restaurant, but first impression was only meh.

Don't bite the bait - this place is OK at best. I went there on a Sunday night. Service was not great, kind of slow, but understandable cause they were kind of busy.
Portions are small, food is tasty, but not great, and it is not "amazing prices." I wouldn't call it a good value, not super pricey, but not a deal by any means.
The decor is nice if you're into that kind of thing.
I won't go out of my way to go back to this place, but I wouldn't necessarily be against it, you know?
Anyway, on a scale of 1-10, it gets about a 5.5. Not bad at all, mind you, but nowhere near transendental.
Love ya...

My girlfriend and I went there Saturday night and had one of the best dinning experiences in a long time. The setting is small, cozy, and intimate and its unassuming atmosphere is a welcome change from a lot of Burg restaurants.
As previously noted, the food is simple but high quality, they let the ingredients speak for themselves. We had salad, butternut squash soup, and homemade pasta with lamb ragu, all were excellent. The chocolate tart (flour-less) was divine. We can't wait to go back!

The chocolate tort really is delicious but it's really rich- you need to have it with the panna cota. It's a great date place.

This is definitely the best place in the neighborhood. I love the creamy pasta with smoked salmon, the steak is awesome, always great specials. I couldn't live without the chocolate tortino- and they deliver! And tasty italian wines at amazing prices. Il Passatore was definitely sent by God, I just want everyone I've ever met to eat here and know ow good it is. I can't wait until the backyard opens in the next few months!

Best Italian food in the neighborhood. Really great food at amazing prices. What I like about this place is that it is simple, but really high quality food (the gnocchi is amazing). A must try for anyone who lives near Graham ave.
