...At least the gumpa behind the counter was able to assemble those sandwiches...
Now with the new cosmopolitan entries the level fell to shamefully deep abysses.
AVOID.

If you like the stereotypical brooklynite acting like the "wise guy" softy then good for you, I find him annoying, just make my sandwich and stop calling be "darling honey" etc. That said, the sandwiches are good the coffee does taste weird and they have the old school gummy bears there too. Oh, good egg sandwiches, they're liberal with the bacon, admit you love bacon people.

GREAT Italian sandwiches, pasta and salads. Excellent service. Coffee sucks, but you can't have it all, ya' know?
Come for the Chicken Parm, go to Bedford for a coffee. You won't be disappointed.

Joe was part of the fan band who used to bring musical instruments into Ebbet's Field in the 40s & 50s. I saw him on a PBS documentary - no shit! A real piece of Brooklyn history.
Sammiches are filling!

Sandwiches are $7 bucks, but they are two meals! Really nice people behind the counter too.

the sandwiches here are awesome. around 7 bucks. you can usually eat them twice too. good deli. i have never had their coffee that they brew there. but i do know that they sell beans from porto rico importing, which usually have pretty good roasts. whatever. go for the good lunch.
