WE SAY: From the owner, who previously ran Brock Oven Gallery: "Kenny's Trattoria is an Italian restaurant with a menu offering homemade pasta dishes, including a homemade ravioli of the day, and several chicken, pork, beef and seafood dishes. Patrons of Brick Oven Gallery will recognize some of the dishes such as the Brooklyn Caviar, Brick Oven Shrimp, Orichietti and the same over sized salads."
BLACKBOOK SAYS: Homemade pastas and a ravioli du jour? Uncle Kenny's got you covered. Former Brick Oven Gallery owner spawns cutesy-cozy new Italian joint. Napoli trattoria satisfies Italian exchange students longing for mama, leaves plenty of room in the wallet for soon-to-follow PBRs. No pizzas, alas--Kenny shows his integrity, refuses to cook ‘em without a brick oven. But Brick Oven mourners take note: the Brooklyn Caviar lives on. Same dish, new digs.

Comments
Brick Oven Gallery is back! Well, sort of - actually Kenny's has built a new brick oven and have returned to their pizza-making roots. The pizza is unbelievable - I've had it twice, and though it's early in the game I honestly think it's better than BOG. Seriously. If you weren't a fan of BOG's thin, crispy crust that statement will mean nothing to you. But for those of us who made weekly pilgrimages to feast at the altar of Kenny and his brick oven, this is the best Williamsburg culinary news in quite a long time. Many of the old Brick Oven Gallery standbys (Tartufo Bianco, the Pizzamakers) have made a comeback, along with a few new additions. The OSLO pizza with sopressata and onions is highly recommended.

Brick Oven Pizza is back @ Kenny's Trattoria. Come check out our new pizza menu, offering all of your Brick Oven Gallery favorites, including the Tartufo Bianco with goat cheese, wild mushrooms and truffle oil and of course the Peter's Favorite topped with arugula, prosciutto and shaved parmigiano. Our pizza menu is available in addition to our dinner menu. See you there!

Kenny's is a fine, fine Italian restaurant, up there with anything in Manhattan or here in Williamsburg (Bamonte's and Frost are the standard-bearers). Unlike those places the cusine is different, yet traditional. My only complaint is the portions are... too large! Great place and great hosts - Kenny and Nicole, when she is around.

Just found this place a few weeks ago and have been back three times. Home made pasta (try the pappardelle bolognese), great chicken dishes (saltimbocca!) and the terrific prosciutto sushi and Brooklyn caviar appetizers make this place well worth it. Kenny (of Brick Oven Gallery fame) is a great guy and when he isn't cooking often comes out to chat with the regulars. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to go back.

Kenny's is the best Italian place in Williamsburg. I've been here four times, and it's always been delicious. Lot's of good vegetarian options, too, which isn't always the case at a traditional Italian place.

I loved Brick Oven Gallery, and I love Kenny's. The gnocchi with gorgonzola and truffles sauce is sooo good, the portion is huge. And I love the Brooklyn Caviar.

I was so excited when I heard that Kenny had opened a new place, and like Brick Oven Gallery, the food went above and beyond. I had the Fried Calamari, which was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola, was heaven on earth. Place looks great and the prices are beyond reasonable. One problem was we felt very uncomfortable. The other owner (I think?) was practically yelling over our table, walking around with wine, to talk to people who I assume were his friends. Instead of feeling like we were out enjoying a meal, we felt as if we were intruders in someone else's house, rather than a restaurant. Unfortunately, we will think twice before going back. But when and if we do...hopefully we get to see Kenny!

Kenny's Trattoria is the spot to be! Great food, great prices, and great service. It's what a true Italian Restaurant should be.

Was there this past Saturday with 5 other people and Kenny outdid himself with the new dishes. Everything was delicious and the prices were unbelievably cheap and the portions very large. I will definitely be back many many times.
