TIME OUT SAYS: This all-night taco shop is nearing institutional status because (a) it has the freshest lettuce and tomatoes you're likely to find in the East Village, and (b) where else can you find a taco when you really need one - at 4:30 am, after a night of hard drinking? Besides, San Loco's Queso Loco - a hardshell taco that's wrapped in a soft tortilla that's spread with melted cheese - can kick Taco Bell's culo.

Comments
As far as authenticity to what the living conditions are like in the deserts of Puebla, San Loco has it down. Yet, I still have to say that I was absolutely disappointed after waiting for 45 minutes to get my 2 Loco tacos. If it wasn't for the charismatic and reassuring personality of the girl behind the counter i wouldnt even bother coming again. Hopefully next time i have a taco craving they will feel like running their air conditioner instead of mimicing the hot Puebla desert. This must be a cue to drink their frozen margaritas.

This place is average at best I'm afraid. The price is way inflated in relation to the size of the portion. You will have to search your burrito with a magnifying glass to find any rice or beans and you will be lucky if they manage to get your order right at all. There are many better and cheaper options out there, I promise.
