There are two Thai places that I really love in Williamsburg. Siam Orchid and Lily Thai. Siam has the BEST Curries and Lily Thai best entrees. Siam Orchid is super fast and reliable with great portions. BTW I am not saying their entrees aren't great because they are, but they excel in the curries.

They always get it right! She loves the Siam Duck and he always gets the Chicken and Basil. And don't forget those scrumptious fried bananas for dessert! It's fast and friendly too. This is our top choice for take-out or delivery for Thai in Williamsburg and that's saying a lot 'cus there's about a zillion places to chose from.

i tried a handful of appetizers. while the flavors of everything were stuff that i didnt really enjoy, there did seem to be a definate reliablity and sense of traditional strength with the food.

I agree with the above. Also, their tamarind duck is great. Their curries are more flavorful than two other local Thai places that I have tried. And their calamari is, so far the best around. After ordering hundreds of times, I would say that they are 90% consistent on quality. NIce fried whole fish too (get the snapper and curry sauce). They will make it as hot as you want and if you want something not on the menu, e.g. panang squid, it is no problem... nice folks.

Siam Orchid has been my thai restaurant choice for years. They have great food, fast service and are really friendly. They have tasty vegetarian dishes. The fried banana dessert is amazing! Way better than the average food and the 'tude you get at alot of other local thai joints.
