WE SAY: The pizza place you go to when you want to feel like you are in Brooklyn, instead of some gentrified approximation thereof. The specialty slices aren't great, but the regular cheese slice is perfect. Update: Vinnie's was recently bought and is under new ownership.

Stopped in for a slice today 'cause I was so hungry & just needed some pizza. The guys working there were so friendly & nice! I ordered one slice (broke as I was) & was given two slices on the grounds that some of their crusts had broken off. It was so nice of them & it reminded me in spirit of Little 5 Points pizza back home in Atlanta. I will definitely be back- stop in if your in the 'hood- Nice guys, good prices & great pizza. Need I say more?

Listen to me people. This is not only the best pizza place in Williamsburg (by far) but in my opinion the best pizza place in Brooklyn. You may disagree about the food, but you can not dispute that they have the nicest staff in the world. they make you feel very much at home.

I live just off of Bedford, and believe it or not, I'm kind of poor. There are only 3 places to get a bite within a 4 block radius of my apt that'll cost me less than 5 bucks, and two of those are pizza spots. I've eaten more slices of pizza over the past few months than I have in my entire lifetime. So much so that if the boys at either of the pizza spots are reading this, they probably know who I am. I used to alternate between Vinnie's and Anna Marias and also took notice when Vinnie's stepped up their pizza making game with a new menu and a little interior renovation. I've tried probably every slice at both places, including the new vegan slices at Vinnies, and Vinnies wins hands down, no contest. The cheese is better, the dough is better, and everything is fresher. Try a made-fresh-to-order calzone, or a classic brooklyn hot dog roll (or for vegans their "not dog" roll, which is actually pretty good) I like to ask for slices extra hot so the crust is a little crispier. The garlic knots are also good and are 6 for a buck. Vinnie's is golden.
I felt compelled to write this because after a 5 month hiatus from her, tonight I decided to give Anna another shot, and after soaking 10 napkins in grease from the slice, and getting only halfway through it, I chunked her greasy, soggy ass, too-much-sauce pizza in the trash and strolled on down to Vinnie's for the best slice in Williamsburg. Sorry babe, I wanted it to work, but Vinnie just does me better.

Vinnie's got way better. The vegan slices are great - I'm not even vegan. Not as greasy as the other pizzerias. Open nice and late.

Vinnie's new specialty slices are really good. I feel like it was overnight -- good cheese slices and nada else, to everything on the menu being outstanding. I really effing love the fresh mozzarella slices. They're a good alternative to the classic plain slice. Ana Maria's should definitely watch its back.

Sometimes when I think of all the places in the city where dumbasses are lured into a $2 cheesy dough fiasco that they call a slice i cry.
Then I go to vinnies where they maintain roots with their bomb cheese as well as getting kinky with the speciality slices.
F Anna Maries!!!!!! Doesn't anyone notice that you need a fork and knife to eat that shit?

A recent stop for lunch at Vinny's proved to be delicious. Good variety, great pizza. The cheese slice is the best I've had. The specialty chicken quesadilla slice a real treat! Perfect crust complimented both. Definitely worth stopping in.

Vinnie's is my new spot! I had always gone to Anna Marias after the bars or whatever (Driggs is always closed, and their pizza is only so so anyway), but I just found out Vinnie's is open late night now. Their pizza is by far the best in the hood...seriously, walk the extra 2 blocks, it's worth it.

Drigg's pizza eats balls, some of the worst shit i have ever had, no one who has lived in the neighborhood for a while eats there... Vinnie's takes them down every time.

I just had the ziti with meatballs on Kpj's recommendation and it was nice. Large portion, tasty, good value.

Vinnie's != Driggs.
Walk to Driggs Pizza on N6th and Driggs

Awful slices, disgusting all around. Messy, dirty and not worth the wait. Stale nasty tasting specialty slices and sloppy impossible to eat without a smock heroes... Imagine trying to eat a Parm hero at your desk and wearing all that terrible tasting sauce on your shirt, pants, face, hands & desk.... Walk to Driggs pizza around the corner.... they are THE REAL DEAL.
