Our friends at Third Ward are celebrating the official opening of Goods this weekend, and they’re looking to add to their staff:

So maybe you’ve had a burger, hot dog, or breakfast sandwich there…but where to sit?? Well, starting this Saturday, June 19th, you won’t just be able to sit, you’ll be able to positively luxuriate in our beautiful garden. Stop by the corner of Lorimer St and Metropolitan Ave and grab some amazing eats.

Third Ward’s Goods food truck soft-opened today at the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and Lorimer Street and to celebrate, they gave away the farm. I happily stumbled across the scene earlier this evening and grabbed a GoodsBurger — a juicy beef patty topped with caramelized onions, lettuce, and a slice of tomato. It came with solid side of curly fries in an unassuming white box. This seemed to be what most of the crowd was grubbing down on too, so I felt in good company. The dang thing was delicious!

The spot out back is still a work in progress, but the owners have managed to craft up a handful of picnic tables for patrons to sit and eat. They’re planning on decking the eating area and cleaning things up over the coming days and weeks.

Tomorrow, the truck soft-opens one more time — starting at 7am — before its official, public opening on Thursday. Show up early tomorrow morning and you might end up on NY1; they’re shooting a brief segment. Make sure to grab an Intelligentsia coffee and one of those homemade Buttermilk biscuits.
