Summer Jams
After jamming out in my corporate office to Al Lover — the free Woodsist remix album posted here yesterday on FREEwilly, I decided to post a few free mixes for the summer, in case your iTunes is feeling empty. Forget the ‘mp3 drought of 2010,’ and check this stuff out.
The always consistent blog Stadiums and Shrines put this mix out in February, and it is littered with psychedelic, summery gems, by bands such as Expensive Looks (who killed it with Pocahaunted and Sleep ∞ Over at Glasslands this past weekend) and Coyote Clean Up — whose incredible FREE record Double Trouble Doo Doo Bubble can be found at ihadanaccidentrecords (zip file).
If you dig tropical or ambient jams, you’ll definitely enjoy the superbly crafted, 12 minute album Land Huxt from London’s Arch M, given away for free at his site.
And finally, if the disco bug has caught you of late, as it has so many ’round these parts, you may enjoy this new mix from Brooklyn’s own Treasure Fingers.
Now throw on those jorts and get outside.
