Washed Out

Topping our list of shows to see this week are some true “buzz” bands-Washed Out, Grimes and Blood Orange-together at the Bowery Ballroom. Everyone should have a few free shows on their radar, and this week you’ve got three to choose from: Tombs at St Vitus, Ted Leo + The Pharmacists / Screaming Females at the South Street Seaport, and Raekwon / Smif N Wessun in Prospect Park. (Plus there’s Santigold, Swizz Beats and Joe Jonas at House of Vans for a secret show tonight, if you were lucky enough to get on the RSVP list. Let us know if you can get us in!)

In the mood to dance? Check out Warm Up@PS1 this Saturday. Headlined by Four Tet, the lineup from top to bottom is solid, and includes an appearance by SBTRKT (the band we are seeing tonight @ Glasslands). Without further ado, here are our Top 10 Shows for the next seven days.

10. Ted Leo + the Pharmacists @ South Street Seaport w/ Screaming Females
Saturday, July 9th at 6pm – All Ages, FREE!

9. Salem DJ Set @ Brooklyn Bowl
Saturday, July 9th at 11pm – 21+, $5 -> tickets

8. Vetiver @ The Bell House w/ Yellowbirds and Meg Baird

The Most Blogged About Shows Of The Week

No Age (via losanjealous.com)

This is a Brooklyn-heavy week led by a FREE (with RSVP) show at the House of Vans. We made it to Spectrum for the first of their parties and enjoyed the free drinks and great show. Were you one of the lucky few who got tickets for Panda Bear at Music Hall? We hope so, as their will-call-only policy puts a damper on what will be available on Craigslist.

Be sure to check out the shows going on sale this week, listed below. Stone Temple Pilots should round out the paid shows for this season at the Williamsburg Waterfront. You also don’t want to miss The Rapture tickets! Without further ado, here are our Top 10 Shows for the next seven days.

About this post: My Social List is happy to partner with Freewilliamsburg to bring you the next seven days’ most buzzed-about New York shows, as well as new shows going on sale this week.
