Whichever way, I’m sure you know by now that Brooklyn is rife with secret underground supper clubs.

Well you’re in luck. This Thursday, September 16, the vegetarian-friendly Tasteful Supper Club (which, full disclosure, I help run) is holding a fundraiser for the Greenpoint Soup Kitchen. And for one night only, it’s breaking its invitation-only policy to open up its doors to you, the readers of Free Williamsburg.

$20 gets you a five-course meal plus cocktails and wine, and will feature food supplied by Williamsburg’s own Southside CSA, and wine from Vine Wine.

Busy weekend kids!

Both days of Williamsburg Walks from 2-7pm, the Southside CSA will be hosting a picnic block, inviting everyone from the community to join in.

On the 26th, will be hosting the “Williamsburg Picnic Challenge” http://southsidecsa.wordpress.com/2010/06/10/williamsburg-walks-picnic-block-basket-challenge/

Essentially, it is a picnic contest where each component will reflect a different ethnic group from the neighborhood.

$10 to enter; $5 goes towards the cash prize/ $5 will go the the Greenpoint Soup Kitchen.
