The Return of Yes

‘The House of Yes’ is back in business (officially?) in their new location, on Maujer St. just off Morgan Ave.. BushwickBK hung out at their new digs, watching two of the girls hang out on the silk rope like the acrobats they are. A few months ago, the original House of Yes was destroyed in a rather gnarly fire, so it’s nice to see they’re back, doing the things they love.
From BushwickBK:
After the Fugs-like Banned Rehearsal’s rollicking musical set, I talked for a few minutes with Anya, one of the ringleaders of House of Yes. This intriguing and charismatic personality told me of her group’s ambitious plans, which include cabaret-style aerial theater and acrobatic workshops. I’m not quite sure they are 100% open for business, but they should be very soon. It’s an incredibly groovy space, with a 30-foot high ceiling and a hardcore-looking circus-style scaffolding set up. I’m eager to see what happens here ‚Äî no doubt it will be impressive.
