If you think you’ve got nothing to do Saturday, then you are sorely mistaken because it is promising to be epic. In addition to the Obama fundraiser at Soundfix and the Monster Island Block Party, here are a few different options:
1. 2008 ART PARADE

Deitch Projects presents the 3rd annual Art Parade in SoHo, and this year is guaranteed to be more outrageous then ever. Head on over to Broadway and watch more then 900 participants exhibit their art, performance pieces, insane costumes, and more. (starts at 4 pm on West Broadway and Houston)
2. EAST VILLAGE RADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL

To celebrate their 5th birthday, East Village Radio will be hosting a super-mega indie-fest at South Street Seaport, which will last basically all day long (1-9 pm). Awesome Color, Vivian Girls, Boris, and Devin the Dude are just a few of the acts slated to perform. And for those of you lil’ lost puppies who don’t know how to venture down to the Seaport, EVR is even providing a free shuttle bus from their headquarters on 19 First Ave. Vamos!
